Skagit County opens bids to outfit Sheriff's SWAT van; low bid from Northpointe Metal Works

Skagit County Public Works opened sealed bids to outfit one Ford cargo van for the Sheriff’s SWAT team and reported two responsive proposals. Jason Bloodgood and Kyle Fink, representing the equipment division, read the bid amounts and confirmed bid bonds were included.
Full Time Fabrication submitted a bid of $59,169.46 and included a bid bond, and Northpointe Metal Works submitted a bid of $42,492.34 with a bid bond, Bloodgood said. Staff said they plan to review all proposals during the week and will request a bid award resolution to be signed by the Skagit County Commissioners on or before Aug. 11.
No contract award was announced at the opening. Bloodgood said bid results and details will be posted on the county website after staff reviews the proposals.
