Separately, the council pulled a wayfinding-sign bid from the consent agenda for discussion and then voted to award the contract. Council Member Jesperson moved to award the bid to the successful bidder (listed in bid documents as “Signage”) for $21,000; Council Member Willis seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.
The council then approved the remainder of the consent agenda, items A through G, with item B removed for separate consideration. Council Member Miller moved to approve the consent agenda as amended; Council Member Richardson seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.
City staff described the audio purchase as intended to simplify setup for park events and to replace equipment that had been in service for many years. Council members did not request additional follow-up or supplemental appropriation beyond the funding sources noted in the meeting materials.
