The Public Works Committee heard Monday from Anthony Archie, introduced as the nominee to the Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy to replace Priscilla Harris; the committee said the council will vote on the appointment on Jan. 30.
Archie said Mayor Nichols recommended him and that he is reviewing contracts and operations for the authority. “I think earlier, maybe December, we talked about the value of having a council representative on the board,” Archie said. He described District 2 as home to industrial partners and said he intends to bring the council’s perspective to the authority and report back to the council.
Committee members thanked Archie for being willing to serve. No formal vote was held at the meeting; committee members said the nomination will be on the Jan. 30 council agenda for confirmation.
