The Revere Board of Education on Aug. 19 unanimously approved a package of routine business items including minutes, the July financial report, purchase orders, personnel actions and an amended student settlement.
Board members moved and seconded multiple consent motions during the meeting’s business portion. Board member Verdin proposed taking the listed items under Roman numeral 8 as a group; the board then approved them by roll call with all members voting yes. Later, Superintendent White asked that items under Roman numeral 9 (1a through 1g) be treated as one consent item; the board moved, seconded and approved that package by roll call.
Actions recorded in the meeting transcript include approval of meeting minutes, a financial report for July, routine purchase orders, substitute and long-term substitute assignments, salary listings, co-curricular supplemental contracts, mentor-mentee assignments, a listed settlement and additional personnel items (resignations, new hires, changes in hours, student auditorium workers). The board also approved an amended settlement agreement for a student that the superintendent described as pertaining to that student’s specific learning needs.

The transcript records motions and seconds for the grouped consent items but does not always name the motioners or seconders for each vote. Where a proposer is named in the record, board member Verdin proposed taking Roman numeral 8 items together; Superintendent White proposed grouping Roman numeral 9 items as consent. The transcript shows all listed roll-call tallies as unanimous in favor. The board did not go into executive session and adjourned after brief community-announcement time.
The board scheduled its next work session for Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the Revere Administration Building conference room and the next regular meeting for Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 5:30 p.m. in the Revere High School Media Center.
