Revere Board introduces 13 new teachers and staff before start of 2025–26 school year

The Revere Board of Education on Aug. 19 introduced a group of new hires — including a district gifted coordinator, classroom teachers and building administrators — ahead of the 2025–26 school year.

District leaders said the hires are intended to fill classroom and student-support roles across elementary, middle and high school buildings as the school year begins in a week. Superintendent White closed the introductions by welcoming the new staff: “So welcome aboard.”

Nikki Campbell introduced Amy Harker as the district’s gifted coordinator; Campbell said Harker “is going to be housed at Bath Elementary School” but will serve students across all four Revere buildings. Harker, Campbell said, has “40 years in education, 19 years as a teacher” and will review the district’s testing measures to better identify gifted students.

Kirk Pavlich and Angela Smith, identified in the meeting as principals of Richfield Elementary School, introduced several new Richfield hires, including Brett Rogers, who will teach physical education and coach football; Ellie Trimble, a kindergarten teacher; and Isabel (Isabelle) Virag, an intervention specialist. A fourth listed hire, Samantha, was noted as absent due to a family situation.

Dan Fry introduced Bath Elementary hires, including Jessica Welch, an intervention specialist, and announced Jill Newland as the new art teacher (Newland was not present). Dr. Oberhauser introduced Revere Middle School additions Leah Paris (seventh-grade math) and Emily Forrester (intervention specialist), and noted Brian Petchey as assistant principal at the middle school.

At Revere High School, Mr. Farris introduced three new staff members: Jess Hiltbrand (biology), Hannah Grissom (geometry) and Tyler Pacifico (AP calculus; noted to have 10 years’ prior experience at Norton High School).

Board members and administrators asked to gather for photographs after the introductions. Superintendent White and board members welcomed the group “on behalf of the board and the community,” saying they looked forward to the new hires meeting students when classes begin.

The meeting contained no votes tied directly to individual hires on the floor; personnel items were later included in the consent agenda that the board acted on during the business portion of the meeting.
