Collegedale City Beer Board members voted unanimously Aug. 18 to approve an application from A 5 Images and Events after a staff representative said the submission met state requirements. The applicant was not present for the meeting.
The action came during the board's regular meeting at Collegedale City Hall. Commissioner Baker moved to approve the application and a roll-call vote recorded five "yes" votes: Commissioner Baker, Commissioner House, Commissioner Johnson, Vice Mayor Sadler and Mayor Lloyd.
Board members first approved minutes from the July 21 beer board meeting by unanimous roll call earlier in the session. The new-business item for A 5 Images and Events had no substantive discussion; a board member observed that "the applicant's not able wasn't able to attend," and Commissioner Baker said, "They've fulfilled all the requirements for the state. They have," before moving to approve.
After approving the application and noting there was no further business, the board made and seconded a motion to adjourn, which also passed by unanimous roll call.
The meeting record does not indicate any conditions attached to the approval or additional directions to staff, nor does it show the specific type of license or permit sought in the application. The transcript records only that the application "fulfilled all the requirements for the state."
