The ordinance was introduced by staff, which said the new section clarifies how the city will handle personal property found during enforcement actions and that the procedure mirrors the Marquette Police Department’s lost-and-found policy that the city says has been in effect since 2018. City Manager Karen Kovacs and other staff told commissioners the attached procedure is informed by state law and national best practices.
