Manor Independent School District trustees approved three formal items at their Aug. 4 meeting: the board called a Nov. 4 bond election (see detailed article), approved a proposed wastewater utility easement on district land and designated official delegates to the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) delegate assembly.
Easement approval: The board considered and approved a proposed utility easement described by staff as a 0.2931‑acre wastewater utility easement and temporary construction easement affecting district land in Travis County. Trustee Howard moved approval and Trustee Patrick Patterson seconded; the motion passed on a 7-0 vote. The board delegated authority to the superintendent (and designee) to continue negotiating terms and authorized the board president to execute the easement in a form approved by counsel.
TASB delegate appointment: Trustees named Dr. Mary Thomas as the board’s official voting delegate and Trustee Patrick Patterson as alternate to the 2025 TASB delegate assembly, by unanimous vote after a motion by Trustee Rodriguez Barnett and a second by Trustee Lowery.
All three votes recorded at the meeting were unanimous (7-0).
