Franklin County commissioners approved an agreement July 30 allowing Transitions Healthcare, the new owner of the facility formerly known as Shook Home, to use 25 parking stalls at the county-owned former Elks lot for $6,875 a year.
Carrie (last name not specified), a county staff member who presented the item, said the county had previously reserved space for Shook Home staff and this agreement extends that permission to Transitions Healthcare. "This agreement would extend that opportunity to Transitions health care staff for 25 parking spots at the former Elks lot," she said.
A commissioner moved approval after asking for details; another commissioner seconded. Commissioners voted verbally in favor; the board chair confirmed the item was approved.
The agreement was placed on the regular agenda as item 5.01. The county will receive $6,875 a year in exchange for permitting the stalls to be used by Transitions Healthcare staff.
