County corrects Aug. 13 grants agenda: Housing Partnership will apply for Main Street Matters grant, not Chester County

During the Sept. 10 meeting Commissioner Josh Maxwell corrected the public record for the board’s Aug. 13 meeting: an item on that meeting’s grants agenda listed Chester County as preparing and submitting a Main Street Matters grant application on behalf of the Housing Partnership of Chester County. Maxwell said PA DCED subsequently invited the Housing Partnership of Chester County to apply directly and, because of the timing, the Aug. 13 agenda could not be changed before publication. He stated for the record that Chester County did not apply for the Main Street Matters grant and the Housing Partnership will submit the application directly to PA DCED.
Why it matters: the clarification delineates the county’s role in the grant application process and removes ambiguity about which entity is the applicant for the Main Street Matters program. The board recorded the correction for the public record.
