Evans Elementary playground closed pending inspection and repair quotes

The district said it has placed security fencing and caution tape around the playground and that it will send written notice to the borough manager (Mister Rafi) about the closure and the interim measures.
Board members requested signage at the playground to discourage public use while inspections are under way; a district staff member agreed to pursue temporary signage and confirmed the district had already placed fencing and caution tape around the site.
The district did not provide an estimated timeline or repair cost in the meeting; staff said they will gather quotes and recommendations from the inspector and that emergency repairs would take precedence over other planned work.
