A district staff member said the district has "received legal documentation that the... grant is still going to be processed," that a no-cost time extension has been approved, and that staff are preparing the district to submit reimbursable expenses when the grant begins issuing reimbursements.
Board members asked whether the district had received confirmation of the grant; the district staff responded that legal documentation indicates the grant will be processed and that they are in monthly communications with the state Department of Education.
District staff indicated the project aligns with the facilities master plan priorities—security, ADA compliance and air quality—and that the current phase is focused on ADA work. The district did not provide a detailed line-item budget in the meeting, and additional renovation timing beyond the addition was described only as "shortly after" the addition is completed.
Board members and staff indicated there were no public questions recorded about this item during the meeting.
The district said it will proceed with the planned schedule and follow the grant reimbursement process as documentation and state procedures allow.
