School board approves financial manifests, handbook revisions and adds athletic-trainer item to agenda

The Contoocook Valley School District board unanimously approved two financial manifests, accepted revised student handbooks that remove smartwatch allowances, voted to add a discussion of an athletic-trainer job description to the agenda and later entered nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3 II(c).

The board took roll-call votes for the items. A manifest certification presented to the board listed charges totaling $1,226,283.12 for district goods and services; the board approved that manifest by roll call. A second manifest presented listed a figure read aloud as "$100,000,551,606.07"; the board also approved that certification by roll call. The board approved revised student handbooks for SMS, GBS and the high school after removing language that would have allowed smartwatches if notifications were turned off, citing a change required by state law on personal communication devices. The board unanimously agreed to add a discussion of a job description for athletic medical personnel to the agenda to allow further consideration during the meeting.

Later in the meeting the board voted to enter a nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3 II(c) (personnel). Meeting minutes show all recorded roll-call votes were recorded as unanimous in the public record.
