Lincoln County School District No. 2 board approves 2025–26 budget, equipment purchase and contracts

The Lincoln County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees approved the district's 2025'16 budget and a series of contracts and purchases at a regular meeting where staff also reviewed summer facilities work and monthly financial details.

Business manager Mr. Inskeep presented the district's financial overview and told trustees the district is "right where we need to be," describing how the district tracks salaries and benefits by general-ledger codes and how staff can show costs by school and program. He cited items including roughly $1,960,000 set aside for capital construction and said staffing at Affton Elementary is "just over $2,000,000," the presented cost of staffing at that location.

The board approved an MOU with Bear Lake Memorial Hospital to provide speech-language pathology services in Cokeville; authorized purchase of a Bobcat articulated loader to replace an aging Toro mower/attachment unit; approved phase-3 transportation contracts and related bus procurement; accepted two donations; and approved athletics items including adding soccer at Star Valley Middle School and membership in the Wausau Wyoming High School Athletic Association.
