Brentwood Planning Commission approves consent agenda, hears security and board reports

The Brentwood Planning Commission on Aug. 4 approved its consent agenda, accepted a monthly security report and heard routine board reports and community announcements.
The commission voted to approve the minutes from its previous meeting; Commissioner Baines moved the motion and Commissioner Travis seconded it. One commissioner abstained, stating they had been absent; the minutes motion passed.
The consent agenda, read and then considered as a single group, included minor site-plan alterations for a monument sign at Maryland Farms (BPC 2500-61), a minor site-plan alteration for Jonathan's Restaurant at 101 Creekside Crossing (BPC 2500-75), a mural at The Hub at Mallory in Brentwood Park (BPC 2500-79), and the final plat for Eastman's Preserve subdivision, Phase 2 (BPC 2500-713), and a temporary sales trailer for Global Autosports (VPC 2507-017). The consent agenda was approved by the commission as presented.
A city staff member presented the monthly security report for July, saying, “we increased the security by $42,930 for a grand total of $16,800,345.13 and we ask that you approve the July security report as published in your packet.” A motion to accept the July security report was made and the commission voted to approve it.
Commissioner Stadnik delivered a tree-board announcement about a free guided tour and talk at the Brentwood Library arboretum on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 10:30 a.m. Stadnik said the talk will be led by Blue Curry, an arborist with Bartlett Tree Experts, and will cover tree identification, diseases and planting conditions. Commissioner Behn reported that the annual Sarah Baird History Bowl is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2026, noted recent preservation work at Boiling Springs Academy and upcoming open houses, and said a Turnpike history book is available on the Brentwood City Commission website.
Before adjourning the planning commission recognized Steve Pippen on his recent election as a member of the Brentwood City Commission and closed the meeting.
