The board vote extends the 2012 PDSP and site plan to June 30, 2028, and enacts the ordinances to vacate portions of adjacent rights of way as described in the staff report. Vice Chair DeFrante moved the extension and Ms. Maureen Coffey seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Why it mattered: The Rosslyn Gateway site borders Gateway Park, an important pedestrian link to the Rosslyn business district and Metro. The current concrete ramp system over eastbound Langston Boulevard has raised safety and accessibility concerns, and the recently adopted Gateway Park master plan calls for a new, lightweight bridge and removal of obstructive ramp elements.
