Council members said staff successfully negotiated a lower annual increase than had been proposed earlier; council members described the reduction in projected yearly cost increases as an important savings for the town. Town staff confirmed the $117,380.09 total payments will be paid over the five-year term.
Town Manager Matt Justice presented the item and answered procedural questions; Chief Williams was mentioned as supportive of the purchase. No formal amendments to the contract were made during the meeting. The council recorded the procedural approval and moved on to other business.
The action authorizes the mayor and/or town manager to sign the Omnigo agreement and obligates the town to annual payments over the contract term.
