The consultant will review current rate structure, allocate fixed versus variable costs, analyze the sewer fund—s borrowing capacity and recommend appropriate rate design adjustments.
Councilors and staff noted the town previously started similar work that was shelved during the COVID-19 pandemic and that the current study will be integrated with other ongoing sewer work, including SSES studies, a facilities plan, and an operations manual.
The administration confirmed the contract is funded from the sewer fund budget the council has approved. The council moved and approved the resolution awarding the contract to NewGen.
