Awardees named in the presentation included Michael Worrell (CEO administration fiscal team), Alan Kula (Office of the County Counsel/mediation practice), Ruben Castro (work center manager, gardeners and painters), Deputy Ryan Vesey (Sheriff's Office UAS program lead), Victor Isasi (eligibility worker, Social Services Agency), Kim Johnson (nurse executive, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center), Manuel "Manny" Elias (Emergency Medical Services Agency), Rex Chien (Planning and Development analyst), Christopher Scheer (Park Ranger) and others. For each honoree the board read a brief description of the employee’s contributions ranging from program implementation and training to daily service and community event support.
Supervisors invited awardees forward for certificates and took a group photograph. The presentations emphasized cross-departmental contributions and the staff roles that support county operations and public services.
