Following a closed executive session to discuss the sale, the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution to continue the process toward closing the sale of OCH Regional Medical Center to Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Board members said the county team and advisors (Raymond James and Buffalo Stone) recommended moving forward to closing. The board moved to adopt the resolution authorizing the county to continue toward closing the asset purchase agreement; the motion carried 4–0. Board members said the county will not release final documentation until Baptist has executed and delivered the final documents.
After the vote, the board authorized the county to sign and execute the agreed documents upon receipt of Baptist Memorial Hospital’s fully executed agreement. County staff emphasized coordination with Baptist counsel to finalize timing and confirm all conditions precedent are satisfied.
No financial figures or additional contract terms were read into the public record during the open session; staff said they will notify the public when the parties have completed all approvals and signatures.
