At the July 24 special rezoning session of the Santa Rosa County Commission, several agenda items were handled quickly with little or no public comment. The commission recorded the following actions during the early portion of the meeting:
- 2025-? (Distribution Avenue, East Milton): Rezoning from AGAR R to M1 (District — chair noted case was in his district). Motion to approve recorded “without objection.” (Agenda item presented by staff; no public opposition at hearing.)
- 2025-21-RSS (Cardia Investments of Northwest Florida): Request to change existing R1M to proposed R1A (District 1). Zoning board recommended approval without objection; county commission approved the request without objection after the District 1 commissioner indicated no opposition was present.
- One listed case (case number not specified in testimony) was withdrawn by the applicant prior to hearing and was not heard.
- At the end of the meeting the commission moved to recommend the ordinances on the docket and approved them “without objection” before adjourning.
These procedural approvals were announced by the chairman and recorded as approved without recorded roll-call votes. The more contested items on the agenda (the conditional-use application for a Hipcamp-style campground, Donald Spencer rezoning, and the Reeser parcel rezoning) were handled separately and are summarized in separate reports.
