The Goldsboro City Council recorded the following formal votes during its Aug. 4 meeting:
- Consent agenda (items 6.1'6.6): Approved on a 7-0 roll-call vote. Items included public hearing dates for annexations, a resolution authorizing signature authority for TIGER/GRAMA closeout, NC Class B Distribution Center ORC matters, and routine budget amendments and minutes.
- Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan (item 7.1): Approved 7-0. The council approved the HUD Consolidated Plan and current Annual Action Plan for CDBG and HOME funding; staff to submit documents to HUD and return with a proposed relocation-assistance policy.
- IVUS sole-source resolution (item 8.1): Approved 7-0. The council approved a resolution authorizing a sole-source purchase of IVUS investigative technology for the police department.
- Temporary street closure (item 8.2): Approved 7-0. The council authorized a temporary street closure for NC FreedomFest and accepted the related site plan and security measures.
- Sponsorship / fee waiver for NC FreedomFest (item 8.3): Approved 7-0. Council waived the $400 street-closure permit fee and recorded the amount as an in-kind sponsorship to the nonprofit event organizer.
