Commissioners propose Nov. 20 and Dec. 18 budget meetings; urge municipal participation in hazard mitigation plan

Beaver County officials discussed a proposed timeline for budget voting and urged municipal participation in the county’s hazard mitigation planning.

A solicitor present at the meeting suggested scheduling a voting meeting on Nov. 20 and a final vote on the budget at the Dec. 18 meeting, leaving roughly three weeks between the October and November meetings and aligning internal scheduling needs. The solicitor said those dates would allow time for a preliminary budget advertisement and would work with staff schedules; no formal vote on the dates was recorded.

Commissioners also reported on the county’s annual hazard mitigation plan review, held at the 9-1-1 center.
