Board members spoke briefly in support of the resolution and the board approved the renaming by roll call; the vote recorded seven ayes. The superintendent said the school community asked the board to approve the dedication to recognize Anderson’s service. The board acknowledged that Anderson was traveling and could not attend the meeting.
The resolution does not create any budgetary obligations aside from standard signage and recognition costs; staff will handle logistical steps for the renaming and installation of the court name.
