Kendall Clinton, director of the Danville Convention & Visitors Bureau, told the Danville City Commission on July 28 that Boyle County’s tourism indicators increased in 2024 compared with 2021, and the bureau plans a roughly $160,000 marketing program for the coming fiscal year.
Clinton said the state’s Tourism Economics study shows 696 tourism-supported jobs in Boyle County for 2024 (up from 628 in 2021) and an overall economic impact of about $83.5 million, a $12 million increase from 2021.
