Omni CRA unanimously approves seven resolutions including $3.5M grant for I-395 under‑deck open space

The Omni Community Redevelopment Agency voted unanimously July 24, 2025, to approve seven resolutions that authorize easements, grants and budget actions for projects within the CRA boundaries.

The board approved a resolution authorizing the executive director to negotiate and execute a perpetual, nonexclusive above‑ground and underground easement to Florida Power and Light Company for CRA property at 1367 North Miami Avenue, commonly referred to in the meeting as the Citizens Bank Building. "Item number 1 is a resolution authorizing the executive director to negotiate and execute a grant of easement to Florida Power and Light Company," the Executive Director read during the meeting.

The board also approved a grant of up to $3,500,000 to the City of Miami to cover costs associated with development and coordination of an ocean open space running through the I‑395 under‑deck project within CRA boundaries. The resolution was amended before the vote to specify that any unused funds will be returned to the CRA.
