Board members praised recruitment efforts and noted a decline in the number of entirely new staff compared with a few years ago; one board member calculated that fewer than 10 teachers will be brand‑new to the district in the coming year, which the superintendent said reflects the district's retention efforts.
No formal board action was taken during the staffing report; HR said it will continue filling last‑minute vacancies and supporting onboarding and retention efforts.
