CONROE, Texas — The Conroe City Council on July 24 approved a slate of previously discussed items including environmental monitoring, roadway traffic‑signal contracts, municipal utility boundary consents and updates to financial‑management policies. Several consent‑agenda invoices related to Old Montgomery Road were deferred for further design review.
Key outcomes
- Appeals/waivers to denial of exemption from the temporary moratorium on development (item 3): Council accepted staff recommendation to deny the appeal. Motion carried by voice vote.
- In‑stream monitoring evaluation proposal (item 4): Council approved the staff‑recommended proposal discussed at the workshop; motion carried by voice vote.
- Resolution consenting to Texas Department of Transportation project 0338A‑1162 (item 5): Council approved the resolution; motion carried by voice vote. A resident asked about the project schedule and public hearing availability during public comment.
