Board approves updated parks fee schedule but holds recreation activity increases after public pushback

Kyle Barnes, president of McCall Girls Softball Association, warned that the increase could threaten the viability of small nonprofit leagues and push players to out-of-county travel organizations. Public commenters also noted shortfalls in concession stands and field maintenance.
Commissioners debated whether to approve some changes but hold increases for recreation activities until the countyconsultant study on park programming and operations is complete.
