Residents urge county to consider moratorium on industrial wind projects during public comment

Rebecca Woodard, who lives near Lincoln Lake, said she is “adamantly opposed to the installation of industrial wind turbine complexes” and listed aesthetic, wildlife, animal-health, noise, subsonic vibration and property-value concerns. “My land is my asset, primary asset, and it's proven that it affects our property values,” Woodard said.
Professor Landry (first name not specified) described reliability and cost trade-offs between generation types, citing comparative per-megawatt-hour figures and raising concerns that wind’s intermittency can affect grid reliability and costs; he urged county officials to weigh reliability, cost, and environmental trade-offs.
