At its Aug. 18 meeting, the Lakeway City Council set the maximum proposed tax rate the city may consider for the fiscal year 2025–26 and scheduled state‑required public hearings on the budget.
The council voted to set a maximum proposed tax rate of 0.171466 per $100 of assessed value. The council also scheduled two public hearings on the proposed budget and proposed tax rate for Sept. 15 and Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m. in Lakeway City Hall Council Chambers and directed staff to publish required notices.
During the meeting the council also recorded several other formal actions, summarized below. Several actions were unanimous after edits or discussion; others reflected close council votes.
