The Rock County Board approved an amended 2025 Emergency Management budget amendment for siren maintenance by roll call, with the tally reported as 23 in favor and 1 opposed.
Supervisor Tillman moved the amendment; Supervisor Knutson seconded. The chair said the item included revised funding-source figures that had been distributed at the prior committee meeting. The amendment adjusted source-of-funds line items, moved $5,000 from the administrator's other contractual services into the Emergency Management account and set the total use of funds at $88,600, according to staff comments read at the meeting.
"I can't, not emphasize how important it is that we have the sirens in good working order," Supervisor Tillman said during discussion, and the board proceeded to a roll-call vote.
The board approved the amended budget by roll call. No additional conditions or amendments were recorded on the floor.
