Sheridan said the board does not recommend eliminating Drayton Boulevard because it provides a secondary access for the Rain Shadow development, though he acknowledged construction may need to be postponed. He asked for county assistance and collaboration between the county and the general improvement district to address near-term safety concerns.
Commissioners did not take action during public comment but acknowledged the need to coordinate and to look for solutions that address residents' concerns while recognizing constraints on county authority and funding.
