The Pryor Creek City Council authorized Cassell to provide on-site training for the city clerk and, as needed, additional staff, in an amount estimated at $3,000 plus travel expenses and capped at $5,000.
Council members said the training is intended to provide one-on-one, on-site assistance to the city clerk’s office to improve accuracy in financial reports and reduce recurring errors. The cost is to be paid from the general outside services account, O22015073.
Members clarified that the training will be specific to the city’s needs rather than the broader off-site training some staff previously attended. A council member referenced earlier training in Provo that involved Laurie, Courtney and Lisa; the new sessions are intended to be tailored to the clerk’s office workflow. The clerk (identified in the meeting as Hannah) will coordinate which staff attend on-site and will assign personnel as needed.
The motion passed on a roll-call vote. The names recorded in the vote were Chaucer, Lori Bradshaw, (Reshears/Brashears), Charles Trammell, Condie, Bruce Smith and Terry Lamar, each recorded as voting yes. No no votes, abstentions or recusals were recorded for the item.
Staff said the vendor has been contacted and scheduling will follow completion of contract paperwork; no firm dates were recorded in the meeting minutes.
