Board approves consent agenda including contracts, grants and appointments

Marion County commissioners approved the consent calendar, which included professional services contracts, grant agreements, committee appointments and amendments to health and human services contracts.
At the start of its Aug. 13 session the Marion County Board of Commissioners approved the consent calendar, which consolidated multiple routine orders, contracts and appointments.
Items approved included liquor license approvals for two Oregon businesses; an appointment of Sherry Hickam to the Marion County Health Insurance Study Committee; a professional services contract with Dreier Construction Management Consulting LLC not to exceed $204,995 for owner-representative services on the Detroit Marina excavation and resiliency project (retroactive to July 22, 2025 through June 30, 2028); and revised bylaws for the Marion County Local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee and the Marion County Mental Health Advisory Committee.
Health and Human Services contract amendments were approved, including Amendment No. 2 with Bridgeway Community Health (adding $21,753.60 for a new not-to-exceed total of $108,767.60) to provide dual-credentialed co-occurring counselors for specialty court participants through Dec. 31, 2025, and Amendment No. 3 with Gibraltar Medical Staffing LLC (adding $500,000 for a new not-to-exceed total of $4,250,000) to continue medical staffing for counseling and medication management through Jan. 31, 2028.
Public Works contracts approved included an engineering on-call geotechnical contract with Shannon & Wilson Inc. for up to $350,000 through July 31, 2027, and a state grant agreement with the Oregon Department of Transportation for $301,977 for pedestrian facility upgrades (Safe Routes to School at Brown Road and Arizona Avenue, Scott Elementary) through Aug. 6, 2030. The board also approved removal of a parks commission member and a USDA Forest Service cost-share agreement for law enforcement services tied to reader-board signs within the Willamette National Forest (not to exceed $150,000 through July 1, 2028).
The consent calendar passed on a motion and voice vote with no separate discussion recorded.
