Conifer Chamber outlines holiday events; West Jefferson Middle School welcomes new principal

Beth Schneider, director of the Conifer Chamber of Commerce, invited residents to a volunteer fair at Our Lady of the Pines on the 24th from 10 a.m. to noon and announced "Christmas in Conifer," a week of holiday activities beginning Nov. 29 culminating with the Christmas parade on Dec. 6. Schneider said the week will feature performances, theater events, restaurant offerings and family activities and encouraged floats for the parade.
Tanya Lopez, the new principal at West Jefferson Middle School, introduced herself and described priorities for the school: fostering academic belonging, consistent academics, meaningful exploration and community engagement. Lopez thanked the community for support and said she looks forward to meeting residents and integrating students into community activities.
