The Woods County Economic Development Committee voted to continue a month-to-month website design contract with Boost Media (Amanda Wheeler) and approved a separate decision to continue a hosting arrangement with Marketing Alliance despite a proposed $550 annual increase for one year.
Committee staff told members Boost Media — run by Amanda Wheeler in Woodward — offered to continue website development and content support at $180 per month on a month-to-month basis. Members approved that service.
Separately, Marketing Alliance — the committee’s existing host — proposed a higher annual fee tied to additional features and technology. Marketing Alliance initially proposed a substantial increase; staff negotiated the company down to a $550 annual increase. Committee members discussed the value of Marketing Alliance’s technical support and agreed to approve the $550 increase for one year while staff continues to seek alternatives.
Motions to approve Boost Media’s month-to-month design agreement and to accept the Marketing Alliance annual increase were each moved, seconded and carried on voice votes; the Marketing Alliance vote was recorded as unanimous. Staff said they will continue to evaluate other hosts and platforms such as Wix if needed and to monitor the marketplace while testing the new features.
