- City of Yerington park construction tax: The board approved the City of Yerington’s request to use park construction tax funds in the amount of $33,973.01 for improvements to tennis and pickleball courts on East Goldfield Avenue. Motion by Chair Keller; second by Commissioner Hockaday. Vote: 5–0.
- Court Services reorganization: The board approved reorganizing and renaming the Court Services Department to report to the county manager (or designee) instead of to the justice courts and renaming it the Pretrial Services Department. County Manager Andrew Haskin and staff said this change aligns the department with common county practice. Motion by Commissioner Hendricks; second by Commissioner Jacobson. Vote: 5–0.
- Southwest Gas agreement (franchise payment adjustment): The board approved an amended and restated agreement with Southwest Gas Corporation so that the company will pay annually 2% of net profits directly to the Nevada state treasurer for deposit in the State Education Fund, in compliance with state law (discussed as NRS 709.110). Andrew Haskin said the change is required by state law. Motion by Commissioner Hendricks; second by Commissioner Hockaday. Vote: 5–0.
- Consent agenda: The board approved the full consent agenda (items 12a through 12gs) in a single motion. Motion by Commissioner Hendricks; second by Commissioner Casanelli. Vote: 5–0.
Procedure and next steps
Most items were approved using staff recommendations. For the Traditions Village 2 amendment, staff noted off-site drainage and FEMA CLOMR (conditional letter of map revision) tasks remain and construction of the channel will be phased around irrigation season; the developer retains the option to pay a proportionate share or install improvements directly.
Ending: Commissioners took no additional votes that required separate articles. Several matters (Dayton Depot reconstruction, presenter materials and follow-up items) will return to future meetings for contract execution or further board direction.
