The board voted unanimously, 5-0, to provide the Supervisor of Elections with the funds needed to hold a special election for State Senate District 11, which has a closed Republican primary scheduled for Sept. 30 and a general special election on Dec. 9. Denise, the supervisor of elections, told the board the state will reimburse 100% of election costs and any unspent money will be returned to the county.
