Farrant’s share accounting showed the town holds approximately 1,013 shares after adjustments. Officials said the current burn rate could force a water shutoff as early as September if conditions do not improve.
The mayor and staff urged residents to avoid watering during restricted hours and comply with the current watering schedule. The council said letters had been sent to residents who continued to water outside allowed hours, and staff have been knocking on doors to enforce restrictions.
Officials asked residents to conserve and said the situation could change if allocations are reallocated or other actions taken by the water district.
