Keene City Council approved a small capital action to cut and pour a concrete sidewalk segment at the end of Fireside Village Drive to serve Town Hall Estates nursing-home residents.
Council discussed a request from the facility and staff presented photos showing the recent paving and the preferred location for a 41-foot by 5‑foot concrete pad that will provide a safer, smoother route for wheelchairs and walkers. Public-works staff estimated the work at approximately $3,105.
Councilmember Rob Foster moved to proceed and the motion was seconded; the vote was unanimous. City staff will schedule the cut-and-pour work and notify the facility of the schedule.
