Council adopts FY26 budget and lowers proposed tax rate to 0.167903

The Fulshear City Council adopted the fiscal year 2026 budget on Sept. 12, 2025 and set the tax rate at 0.167903 per $100 of assessed valuation, Richard Russell, the council liaison to the Parks Board, reported at the Sept. 12 board meeting.
Russell said the council initially proposed a tax rate of 0.199901 per $100 valuation but later adopted the lower rate of 0.167903. He also noted the fiscal year 2026 budget will take effect Oct. 1, 2025. The board did not take separate action on the council report; the item was provided for information to the Parks Board.
