Mayor says former Golden Lion Hotel will provide outpatient treatment services; city staff thanked

At the Sept. 11 Assembly Rules Committee meeting, Mayor Mara reported that the former Golden Lion Hotel will be repurposed to provide outpatient treatment services. The mayor thanked municipal staff — specifically Municipal Manager Becky McPherson, Health Department Director Kim Rash, special assistant Thea Agnew Bemban, and Director Shay Dhrupe — for their work to bring the project to fruition.
The mayor described the project as “a long time in the making” and said she had recently briefed the assembly on related matters. No ordinance, contract award or formal administrative action was reported during the committee briefing. Committee members thanked the mayor for the update.
