Montezuma County commissioners approve housing bond resolution, opioid settlement participation and multiple contracts

Montezuma County commissioners on July 29 approved a slate of resolutions, contracts and administrative actions covering housing finance, public‑health agreements, county infrastructure bids and routine fiscal business.

The board unanimously approved a resolution (No. 92025) declaring the county’s intent to issue revenue bonds to finance residential facilities for low‑ and middle‑income families or persons, a step intended to keep private activity bond (PAB) capacity available for local projects rather than returning it to state agencies, the board said.

Commissioners also signed participation paperwork to join the national Purdue opioid settlement that distributes settlement funds to local governments, authorized the chair to execute an amendment to the county’s contract with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) — identifying the amendment by the original contract number 2025Star0132 and amendment 2026Star0040 — and approved an intergovernmental agreement with La Plata County for provision of public health services.
