Board approves EMS staffing, pediatric restraint grant and opioid settlement budget cleanup; bills paid

Commissioner Deaton moved the resolution; Commissioner Gross seconded. After a clerical correction to the resolution number, the roll call vote was unanimous of those present: 8 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Resolution 2025-09-125: Authorization to double-fill the EMS operations/project manager position for up to 30 days to allow overlap between incumbents. Commissioner Deaton moved the resolution; Commissioner Nakagiri seconded. The board adopted the measure by roll call: 8 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Resolution 2025-09-126: A housekeeping budget amendment to record previously approved agreements for opioid settlement funding. Commissioner Fiani moved the resolution; Commissioner Domas seconded. The board approved the amendment by roll call: 8 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Accounts payable: The board approved claims dated Sept. 8, 2025 and payables from Aug. 15 through Aug. 28, 2025 on a combined motion (Commissioner Gross moved; Commissioner Deaton supported) by voice vote; chair recorded the vote as 8 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
