Board approves amended site plan to extend front canopy at 1234 Sheridan Avenue

The City of Cody Planning and Zoning and Adjustment Board approved an amended site plan Thursday permitting an extension of the front canopy at 1234 Sheridan Avenue.
Staff explained the proposed extension will extend the canopy 16 feet 11 inches to the west and a comparable amount to the east, with both extensions encroaching 2 feet 2 inches into the public right-of-way. Staff reported that the Wyoming Department of Transportation (YDOT) has already permitted the 2'2" encroachment into the right-of-way.
The applicant’s representative, identified in the record as Mr. Simpson, appeared and did not offer additional comments. After brief discussion the board moved, seconded and unanimously approved the amended site plan review.
Staff will proceed with standard building-permit processing and any city requirements tied to the site-plan amendment.
