Board approves annexation of 3.22‑acre tax lot into Tualatin Valley Water District

The Washington County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Aug. 19 to approve a boundary change to annex a 3.22‑acre tax lot into the Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD).
Tricia Gerisco, associate planner with Land Use and Transportation, told the board the subject property is at 21627 Northwest West Union Road in unincorporated Washington County, outside the urban growth boundary. She said the parcel is in the Agriculture and Forest five‑acre minimum (AF‑5) district and that Rural Natural Resources Plan Policy 22 allows public water connections to AF‑5 properties. The annexation was initiated by a consent petition from property owners Irene Masters and Phil Van Dyke.
Gerisco recommended the board conduct the public hearing and adopt the resolution approving the annexation; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. Vice Chair Therese moved to approve the annexation of the described tax lot into TVWD (file BC 25‑005 LRP/BC); a second was recorded and the board voted 4‑0 in favor.
County staff said that, if adopted, the resolution would become effective Aug. 19, the day of the hearing. The action was recorded as a boundary‑change approval to allow the property’s future connection to TVWD water service.
