Desert Vista student urges Tempe Union to replace 'corner' lockdown drills with run-hide-fight training; board asks staff to review

After the comment, President Montero asked Superintendent Dr. Sylvia Wilson to "look at that and get back." There was no board vote; the public comment period is governed by Policy BEDH and, as the president stated before public comment, the board's response is limited to directing staff to study matters or placing them on a future agenda.
The district did not provide an immediate timeline for a response during the meeting.
