The board adopted a resolution expressing appreciation for Brooks’ "25 years of devoted, tireless work so generously given to the park and recreation department and the citizens of Dallas."
Brooks received thanks from board members and staff during the meeting. The recognition acknowledged her role in expanding after‑school and summer programming and mentoring colleagues, and it commended her sustained dedication to youth recreation.
