Glenn Heights council orders Nov. 4, 2025 elections, calls bond vote on propositions H, I and J

The Glenn Heights City Council unanimously approved two resolutions at a brief meeting, ordering the Nov. 4, 2025 joint and general election for mayor and council member places 2, 4 and 6 and calling a bond election on propositions H, I and J.

Brandy Brown, the city secretary, told the council that resolution R-23-25 would allow the city to order the Nov. 4, 2025 election for mayor and council seats and to place proposed amendments to the Home Rule Charter on the ballot. Brown said the resolution also authorizes a joint election with other Dallas County and Ellis County political subdivisions and authorizes a contract for election services with Dallas and Ellis counties.
